Stretcher transport with bedside-to-bedside care.
For patients who cannot sit upright, are bedridden, or require lying-down transport. Two-person trained crews, hospital-grade stretchers, and gentle, dignified handling from one bed to the next.
When sitting up isn’t safe or possible.
Some patients can’t be transported in a wheelchair — post-surgical recovery, advanced illness, wounds that require lying flat, or simply being too weak to sit upright for the trip. For these patients, the wrong transport choice isn’t just uncomfortable; it’s a genuine medical risk.
Bedridden patients deserve better than an afterthought.
Stretcher transport gone wrong has real consequences for fragile patients.
- Discharge delaysA hospital bed held up because transport didn't arrive on time.
- Transfer injuriesImproper lifting harms both patient and staff.
- Pressure & painPoor positioning on a long ride causes real suffering.
- Family distressWatching a loved one handled roughly is its own trauma.
Stretcher transport built for the most fragile rides.
Every Level 3 transport uses a two-person crew, a hospital-grade stretcher, and bedside-to-bedside care from origin to destination.
- Two-person trained transport teamsNever a solo lift. Every transfer is done safely, by two.
- Hospital discharge coordinationWe work with case managers to time discharges precisely.
- Bedside-to-bedside transportFrom the origin bed to the destination bed — no gaps.
- Inter-facility transfersHospital to SNF, SNF to specialist, facility to home.
- Vitals monitoring & comfort positioningPadded, secured, and monitored throughout the ride.
When stretcher transport is the right call.

Coordinated bedside-to-bedside discharge home or to a facility, including same-day requests.
Hospice & palliative transfers
Gentle, dignified transport handled with the sensitivity these moments require.
Post-surgical transport
For patients who must remain lying down during recovery transport.
“After my knee replacement, I needed a stretcher transport home that wouldn't jostle me to pieces. Their two-person team was so gentle and professional. They treated me like family — not a job ticket.”
Honest answers to the questions families actually ask.
“How is stretcher transport different from an ambulance?”
We provide non-emergency stretcher transport — safe, comfortable, scheduled transport for patients who must lie down but are medically stable. If it’s a medical emergency, call 911. For everything else — discharges, transfers, appointments — we’re the right, and far more affordable, choice.
“Do you coordinate directly with the hospital?”
Yes. We work directly with discharge planners, case managers, and charge nurses to schedule the transport, confirm readiness, and time our arrival to the discharge — including same-day requests.
“Is stretcher transport covered by insurance?”
Often, when medically necessary. Medicaid and many Medicare Advantage plans cover non-emergency stretcher transport for eligible patients. We handle verification and can bill facilities directly for discharges.
“Can a family member ride along?”
Yes — space permitting, one family member can ride along. For stretcher transports where space is tighter, let dispatch know in advance so we can plan for it.
“How much advance notice do you need?”
Same-day and next-day stretcher transports are routine, especially for discharges. For scheduled inter-facility transfers, a day’s notice helps us plan the right crew, but we accommodate urgent requests whenever possible.
